with sympathy...

Here is my card for the last Viva la Verve challenge for the month of July. It's for Andrea Ewen's sketch and you can find all of the details here.

I also made it fit for one of the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges that are underway for Splitcoast fan club members right now. They're lots of fun! I'm winking at Andrea for this one! Check out the blinky on my sidebar for more details.

Card ingredients:

Stamps: Papertrey Ink Botanical Silhouettes, Round & Round (sentiment)
Paper: PTI white, aqua mist, My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline DP
Ink: SU! Rose Romance, Old Olive, Choc Chip
Accessories: oval nestabilities, crochet lace, MS butterfly punch, pearls

Have a great day!

hiking with dad...

I made this card for my dad for his birthday and it also fits for one of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges going on this week. Last year I made a card for each and every challenge. This year I'll have time to make a few. Check out the challenges if you are interested. You have to be a fan club member to do so... but it is so worth it. Lots of fun! Check out the Splitcoast blinky on my sidebar for more information.

I scanned an old photo of my dad and me and my sister and brother and cut it out to make it look like a polaroid photo. Got this idea from my friend Maureen who makes wonderful photo cards for her family.

Card ingredients:

Stamps: Verve Making a Statement
Paper: My Mind's Eye Kraft Funday and Miss Caroline DP, SU! crumb cake
Ink: SU! Choc chip
Accessories: crochet thread, dimensionals

Have a great day!

wishing you sunny days!

I hope that you are enjoying sunny days in your corner of the world! This card is for two challenges over at Splitcoaststampers. The first is a sketch for the CAS challenge of the week and the second is this week's colour challenge to use real red, island indigo and wonder wisteria. At first I didn't know what I was going to do to match the colours, but then I discovered that I had bought a sample pack of the SU! in-colors last fall. Yay! I made the square frame by embossing a square nestability on the card front. The stamps and die-cuts are Verve. I'm loving these loopy blooms!
