Enjoy the ride!

I just got back from a fabulous week in Montreal with my daughter where we visited some dear friends. We had so much fun visiting the sights, drinking wonderful coffee (for me ~ yummy juices for her), relaxing, and people watching. We even squeezed in a weekend to Quebec City.

Here is one of the cards that I made during my Splitcoaststampers Dare to Get Dirty 37 challenge extravaganza. I thought the card went well with the trip theme.

Love these Papertrey Ink images and sentiments. The background stamp is one that my friend Maureen gave me ~ it made it easy to coordinate the colours.

Card Ingredients:

Stamps: PTI Enjoy the Ride, All Night Media BG stamp
Paper: SU! kraft, pacific point, PTI cream
Ink: SU! pacific point, versafine onyx black
Accessories: button, red twine, dimensionals

Enjoy your day!

Thanxso much....

This past week I challenged myself to finish all 37 challenges organized by the Dirty Dozen and Dirty Dozen alumni at Splitcoaststampers for the "Dare To Get Dirty" event. I left it a little late, so I ended up completing them all over a 4 day period. It was so much fun. I loved all the different challenges these talented women put together. I will definitely mark this on my calendar for next year.

Here is one of my cards using a retired Stampin' Up stamp set, Farm Fresh. I love these funny takes on fruit box labels. I used another retired SU! background stamp, French Script, on the glassine bag. Next time, I think that I will use a slightly darker ink as it is difficult to see on the glassine bag.

Card ingredients:

Stamps: SU! Farm Fresh, French Script, Verve Sweet Scallop Tag
Ink: versafine onyx black, SU! reinkers, Ranger Distress ink, SU! whisper white
Paper: PTI cream, SU! choc chip, Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon DP
Other: Wilton doily, SU! seam binding, PTI felt, beautiful blooms dies, Verve sweet scallop die, PTI glassine bag, kaiser pearl

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

I knew that I wanted to use my new-to-me PTI set Enjoy the Ride for my dad for his birthday card; we had a black Volkswagen Beetle growing up. I browsed through the SplitcoastStampers gallery and found a great card by Kerry J, so I cased it!  Here is a link to her blog post. The paper was perfect, as my parents recently went on a trip to London. I just changed a couple of things on the card.

Card ingredients:

Stamps: PTI Enjoy the Ride
Ink: versafine onyx black
Paper: PTI cream, SU! old olive, October Afternoon Thrift Shop and Go Fly a Kite DP
Accessories: PTI die, SU! ribbon, dimensionals

Have a great day!

Moxie Fab Botanical

This was just the challenge I needed to kick start my cardmaking after a short hiatus. I have quite a few cards to make, but was lacking the motivation. Moxie Fab World is hosting challenge to use botanicals on a project. This is the first time I've inked up this Stampin' Up set, but now I'd like to make a card in all of the colours of the hydrangea.

Card ingredients:

Stamps: SU! Because I Care, SU! Itty Bitty Backgrounds (for the ink splatters) PTI Round and Round (sentiment)
Ink: versafine onyx black, SU! close to cocoa, SU! reinkers, PTI tea dye
Paper: SU! kraft, almost amethyst, vintage paper bag, PTI cream
Accessories: Spellbinders rectangle nestabilities, ribbon tags, Joanne's ribbon, Wilton doily, SU! distresser

Check out the Moxie Fab Fanatical about Botanical challenge HERE! There are so many beautiful inspirational photos to look at.

Have a great day!
